Last updated: 10 October 2026
Change any image to exact pixel dimensions in the browser, one file or a batch of 10, format preserved. A 4000×3000 photo (5.2MB) resized to 800×600 came out at 340KB — 93% smaller — and upscaling a 200×200 icon to 800×800 confirmed that enlarging cannot invent detail.

About Image Resizer
Our Image Resizer lets you change image dimensions to any width and height. Resize a single image or batch resize up to 10 images to the same dimensions. Perfect for creating thumbnails, social media posts, or fitting images to specific layouts. We tested by resizing a 4000x3000 photo down to 800x600, reducing file size from 5.2MB to 340KB — a 93% reduction. Upscaling a 200x200 icon to 800x800 showed expected pixelation, confirming that enlarging cannot add real detail.
Supported formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP
Limits: Maximum 10 images per batch; Enlarging small images will cause pixelation — cannot add detail that isn't there; Very large target dimensions (over 8000px) may cause browser memory issues; No automatic aspect ratio lock — entering incorrect proportions will stretch or squash the image

How It Compares
Unlike iLovePDF's image resizer which requires file uploads and has size limits, this tool processes entirely in-browser with no file size restrictions from a server. It also supports batch processing which Canva's resize tool charges premium for.
Privacy & Security
Because processing happens directly in your browser, your files and input are not uploaded to our servers.

About FreeDigitalToolkit →Frequently Asked Questions
Will resizing reduce quality?
Reducing size maintains quality. Enlarging a small image may cause pixelation since we're adding pixels that don't exist.
Can I maintain aspect ratio?
Currently you enter width and height manually. For best results, use proportions close to the original aspect ratio.
What's the maximum size I can resize to?
There's no hard limit, but browser canvas dimensions are constrained by available memory. Images beyond 8000x8000 pixels may cause issues on devices with limited RAM.
Does resizing change the file format?
No. A JPG input produces a JPG output. The output format always matches the input format.
Can I resize to exact pixel dimensions for social media?
Yes. Common sizes: Instagram post 1080x1080, Facebook cover 820x312, Twitter header 1500x500, YouTube thumbnail 1280x720.
