  • 150 DPI suits screens and previews; print work needs a higher-resolution source

Typical uses

  • Extracting a chart or figure for a slide deck.
  • Making thumbnails of every page of a report.
  • Uploading a document to a portal that only accepts image files.

Frequently Asked Questions

What resolution are the output images?

Pages are rendered at standard resolution (150 DPI). This is suitable for screen viewing and web use.

How many pages can I convert?

There is no page limit, but large PDFs (100+ pages) may take longer to render. Each page is processed sequentially in the browser.

Can I convert specific pages only?

Currently all pages are converted. Use the split tool first to extract specific pages, then convert those to JPG.

Does this preserve text as selectable text?

No. The output JPG is a raster image. Text becomes pixels and is not selectable or searchable.

Why is the JPG larger than the PDF page?

JPG is a raster format. A complex PDF page with vectors and text compresses well, but the rasterized JPG stores every pixel individually, often resulting in a larger file.
